Finding instead of asking around
Product, quantity, quality, availability, place of delivery — every detail is there from the outset. Anyone looking for 50 tonnes of apple juice concentrate sees within minutes who can supply it.
The raw materials platform for the fruit juice industry
Anyone looking for concentrate, not-from-concentrate juice or purée today works the phone across the industry. On frutra they post a request and see who can supply. Negotiation happens in private – other members can see neither prices nor counter offers. And what has been agreed, both sides can evidence afterwards.
The idea
frutra is for the businesses that buy or sell semi-finished and raw goods in the fruit juice industry: pressing companies, pressing and filling operations, raw material producers, traders.
An offer or a request carries everything that decides a deal from the outset: product, quantity, quality, availability, place of delivery, price expectation. Nobody has to ask three times.
frutra does not replace the call to a long-standing partner. It saves the twenty calls to everyone else.
Advantages
Prices do not belong in the shop window. On frutra every negotiation runs directly between supplier and buyer — confidentially, without a public auction.
Anyone negotiating over the same 100 tonnes in parallel sees the same remaining quantity on every screen: the quantity posted less the quantity already committed under contract. If it no longer suffices at conclusion, frutra does not allow the contract and points to a counter offer with a reduced quantity. This is how double sales are avoided.
Once a contract comes about, it stays stored in the account with all the terms agreed.

Every negotiation runs directly between the two companies — not in public and not visible to other members. Anyone who prefers to phone long-standing partners carries on phoning.
Every running negotiation, every committed quantity, every conclusion stays documented in your own account. In a dispute there is no paper war, but an evidenced position.
Anyone who finds a price does not want to read it again in the trade press. On frutra every negotiation runs directly between the companies involved.
Anyone wanting to trade on frutra is vetted before activation. Even behind an anonymously published request there is always a vetted company.
Nobody should give up the market contacts they have built. frutra takes hold where the telephone becomes too slow — in finding new sources of supply or comparing parallel offers.
frutra is for semi-finished goods in the fruit juice industry: apple juice concentrate, not-from-concentrate juice, purée, pulp, aromas, fruit pulp. Anyone selling packaging machinery is in the wrong place.
